Super Simple Chocolate Candies

I love chocolate.

There’s no way around it. It doesn’t matter what the occasion is or where I am in the world, I always want chocolate. Back in the United States, I can order plain chocolate bars with no sugar, dairy, or wheat for use in chocolate chip cookies or for making a shell for some banana ice cream (see here). But when I’m traveling and I want similar foods, I run into a road block. More often than not, I’m only able to find powdered chocolate which, don’t get me wrong, is fabulous, but it doesn’t work especially well on its own as a hard chocolate (given that it’s powdered an all).

On my most recent baking adventure, I decided to figure out how to make chocolate candies from scratch using chocolate powder. I wasn’t sure if it would work, but surprisingly, it did! To make these, you will need to obtain either an ice cube tray or another similar mold. Sometimes the vacation rentals that we stay in have ice cube trays in the freezer, so check there before going out to buy one.
